How To Create An Infographic

An infographic is an excellent way to expand the reach of your brand. They let your company project information in an easy to digest format that is attractive to the audience’s eye. It also allows you to mix your business’ content output up.

Yet many brands don’t create infographics for several reasons. Firstly, they don’t think that they have the information they can present in this format. That is simply untrue; all industries can offer content in this format and make it visually appealing.

Secondly, businesses don’t have the skills to create an appealing piece of content. That perception is also false. Like managing a website using WordPress, there is not a lot of skill required. There is software that can do a lot of the work for you.

Thirdly, getting a professional to create an infographic is expensive. While this can be true, it is not necessarily the case. You could create it yourself, as we are about to demonstrate or contact us about cost-effective solutions.

Now, how can you create an infographic for your business:

Step One: Use Canva

Go to the Canva website and log into your account or register for a new account. Then select the infographic template by first expanding the options using the ‘+’ button and then scrolling down to find it.

Step Three: Edit

Using your own research and the available illustrations, graphics and images; you can start to edit the infographic. Simply click on any image or element you don’t want to delete it (or edit for text) and drag new items onto the page.

Step Four: Proofread

Now get another person to read over your infographic and check it for mistakes. You have to do this in canva as once you’ve downloaded it, you can’t change the text. You can go back into the system to make changes and re-download the image – but this takes time.

Step Five: Download Your Infographic

Now you can download your artwork. Use the download button on the top right of the screen and select a PNG file type. This is the best for any website. Now you can use the downloaded image to promote on social media and your blog.
